We give because God first gave to us.
At Christ Community Church, we know God is the ultimate in generosity, and we want to be like Him. We value a generous heart for four reasons: it shapes us into the image of Jesus, it brings freedom from the trap of trusting in money, it brings a blessing, and it brings contentment.
Of course, every gift will extend the hand of the organization for ministry. That means more people touched by God, brought into His family, and empowered in His purposes for them. Ultimately, generosity results not from the gift you give, but from gratitude for His gifts to us, from a cheerful heart, from a spirit of contentment, and from faith that He will meet all our needs.
"Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—
not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God..."
